WalletBuddy
Terms of Use
Last updated: June 6, 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and WalletBuddy ("WalletBuddy," "we," or "us") and govern your use of the WalletBuddy mobile application and walletbuddy.app (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for your sign-in credentials, your device, and any activity that occurs through your account. Notify us promptly at support@walletbuddy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Certain features of the Service are available only with a WalletBuddy Pro subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple ID at the price shown at purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
- Managing & cancelling. Manage your subscription in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.
- Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly because Apple is the merchant of record.
- Price changes. If we change the subscription price, we will notify you in advance and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
5. WalletBuddy is not financial or tax advice
WalletBuddy is an informational and tracking tool. Benefit values, reset periods, fees, and program rules are compiled from publicly-available card terms and may change at any time at the discretion of the card issuer. You are responsible for verifying the terms of your cards directly with the issuer before relying on any benefit. WalletBuddy does not provide financial, accounting, legal, or tax advice and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any credit card issuer, bank, or network.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our card and benefit data set in bulk, except as permitted by law.
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right, or to send unsolicited communications.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or probe for vulnerabilities except under a written authorization from us.
- Resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including the WalletBuddy name, mascot, app design, and the curated benefit data set, is owned by WalletBuddy and protected by intellectual property laws. Card issuer names and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
8. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it without obligation.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from inside the app or at walletbuddy.app/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued operation would expose us to legal risk.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF BENEFIT DATA. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WALLETBUDDY AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) US$50.
12. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WalletBuddy and its owners, contractors, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law, or (c) your violation of any third-party right. We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense of that claim.
13. Apple App Store terms
The following terms apply to your use of the Service obtained through the Apple App Store, in addition to (and where required, superseding) the rest of these Terms:
- Acknowledgment. These Terms are between you and WalletBuddy only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
- Scope of license. The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Service on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the "Usage Rules").
- Maintenance and support. WalletBuddy is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the Service. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
- Warranty. WalletBuddy is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
- Product claims. WalletBuddy, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product-liability, legal-compliance, and consumer-protection claims.
- Intellectual property. In the event of any third-party claim that the Service or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, WalletBuddy, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary.Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Governing law and disputes
Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us using the methods on our support page and to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country or state in which you reside.
15. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms, including to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Survival. The sections on the benefit-data disclaimer, intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and these general provisions survive any termination of these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
